Employment Opportunities
Harvest & Programs Coordinator
The Harvest & Programs Coordinator (HPC) is critical to the success of the organization. During our harvest season, the primary objective of this key position is to oversee all aspects of CFR’s on-the-ground fruit harvests with a focus on the coordination of volunteers and tree owners; therefore this person must be highly organized and have excellent communication skills. CFR’s fruit harvests typically take place in mid-August until the first hard freeze, which can occur in October or November. During this time, the HPC is responsible for coordinating numerous daily harvests, maintaining CFR’s Harvest Hub shed and equipment, and managing other harvest-related aspects.
The HPC reports directly to the Executive Director and the Harvest & Programs Manager. They will also work closely with CFR Board members and Harvest Leader volunteers to manage fruit harvests each year. The expectation is that the HPC will work up to 35 hours per week just before and during the harvest season (July-November), up to 20 hours throughout the remainder of the year (December-June), and hours/schedules are somewhat flexible. This is a remote position, however, candidates must be based in/near the Boulder area to easily access our local storage units and to support local harvest events.
