Our DIY Harvest Kits are the perfect solution for harvesting the delicious fruits growing in your yard or nearby, and they're designed to support a variety of needs:
  • Homeowners in need of equipment: Not everyone has the necessary tools for fruit picking at their disposal. Our kit equips you with two sturdy fruit picker poles, ensuring you can reach those out-of-reach branches without a hitch.
  • Property renters: If you're renting a temporary property and don't want to invest in expensive equipment, our kit is the perfect short-term solution. Enjoy the fruits of your temporary home without the commitment.
  • HOAs and neighborhoods: Our kit fosters community resilience by enabling members to work together in harvesting the local bounty. Strengthen community bonds while reducing food waste.
  • Wildlife conflict prevention: One of the main reasons humans come into conflict is over-available food sources, like fruit! Help us minimize conflicts with local wildlife, such as bears, raccoons, and deer, by harvesting ripe fruit trees with our DIY Kits.

DIY Harvest Kit Details

Each kit comes with the following essential tools:
  • A DIY Harvest Guide: To provide helpful pointers from our team.
  • (2) extendable fruit picker poles: Reach those elusive fruits at the top of your trees.
  • Scale: Weigh your harvest to keep track of your yields.
  • Bucket with lid: Store your fruits securely while you continue to pick.
  • Tote bag: Keep your harvest guide and equipment organized and easily accessible.
  • Bleach cleaning wipes: Maintain cleanliness and prevent the spread of fireblight, protecting your trees and the wider urban tree canopy.

Individual picker poles are also available for rent.
DIY Harvest Kits and picker poles are available for 24-hour rental periods at our Central Boulder location, can be picked up at 10:00 a.m. on the selected day, and must be returned cleaned and in their original condition by 10:00 a.m. the following day. Details about pick-up and return will be shared via email upon checkout.

Financial assistance available in limited quantities; contact [email protected] if you are in need of financial support.
