Roots to Fruits
Spring Fundraiser & Silent Auction
March 31–April 15, 2026
Help us grow the season ahead!
Each year, Community Fruit Rescue prepares for the busy harvest season ahead - when neighbors come together to harvest backyard fruit trees, share the abundance with food access partners, and care for the urban orchard that feeds our community. Our annual Spring Fundraiser powers this work from roots to fruits, supporting the programs, tools, and people that make it all possible.
From March 31 through April 15, we invite our community to help us prepare for the season ahead. Beginning in the spring is when our small team coordinates harvest requests, trains volunteers, maintains equipment, and lays the groundwork for another year of fruit rescue across Boulder County. Donations during this time help sustain our work through the natural ups and downs of each harvest season.
This year’s fundraiser will support several key initiatives, including:
Launching our new Community Tool Library, offering shared equipment for fruit preservation, tree care, and harvest
Expanding Spanish-language programming to ensure more neighbors can participate
Distributing harvested fruit to local food access partners
Creating more opportunities for connection through harvests, workshops, and classes
Fruit harvests vary from year to year depending on weather and growing conditions. Your support - at any level - helps ensure we can continue this work and share fruit with those who need it most.
For those looking to make an ongoing impact, consider becoming a monthly donor. Monthly gifts provide reliable, year-round funding that helps us plan ahead and sustain this work through both abundant and lean seasons.
We’ll also host a virtual silent auction from April 6–15, featuring unique local experiences, goods, and services donated by generous supporters. Don’t miss it!
Together, we can continue growing a community where fruit is shared, neighbors connect, and no harvest goes to waste.

Our Collective Impact
After the extraordinary abundance of 2024, this past harvest season offered a natural shift. As is often the case with fruit trees, a bumper crop year is frequently followed by a lighter one – and 2025 reflected that rhythm.
While overall yields were lower, our impact remained strong: together, we harvested and donated 17,553 lbs of fruit across 103 harvests, engaging 250 volunteers, and supporting 23 beneficiary sites throughout Boulder County.
