Support Community Fruit Rescue. Secure your harvest today!
Community Fruit Rescue receives far more harvest requests each season than our small, volunteer-powered team can accommodate. As a small nonprofit run by just two part-time staff members, harvest season donations play a critical role in helping us keep this program running each year.
Tree Steward donations help cover the real costs of coordinating volunteers, maintaining equipment, and transporting fruit to donation partners across our community.
Because each harvest requires significant planning and resources — costing roughly $350 per average site — we prioritize harvest scheduling for tree stewards who are able to make a donation of $100 or more, depending on the size and number of trees. Tree stewards who contribute are guaranteed a place on our harvest calendar.
Financial assistance is available for those unable to make a monetary contribution, and all other harvest requests are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis as volunteer capacity allows.
Your support helps ensure surplus fruit is harvested and shared rather than going to waste — feeding neighbors, supporting local organizations, and reducing wildlife attractants in our neighborhoods. We’re grateful for your partnership in keeping fruit trees and our community thriving.
Please note: We use Givebutter, a secure fundraising platform with no fees for nonprofits. During checkout, you'll be asked if you'd like to leave an optional tip to support Givebutter. This tip is completely optional - you may choose any amount, including $0 - and your full donation will still go to CFR.

CFR is a lean, community-powered organization, which means your donation goes a long way. Contributions directly support our fruit tree care, harvest, and fruit preservation programs, helping us coordinate volunteers, maintain equipment, and transport and distribute fresh fruit to neighbors who can use it. Every dollar helps us rescue more fruit, reduce waste, protect black bears, and expand access to healthy, local food across our community.

Tree Steward donations are generally nonrefundable once a harvest has been scheduled, as these contributions help cover the staff time, volunteer coordination, equipment, and other resources required to plan and prepare for your harvest.
If Community Fruit Rescue is unable to fulfill a confirmed harvest due to circumstances within our control, we will refund your donation.
Occasionally, a harvest may no longer be possible due to circumstances outside of CFR’s control - for example, fruit may ripen or drop earlier than expected, be consumed by wildlife, be harvested by someone else, or be affected by severe weather or other unforeseen conditions. In these situations, the donation will generally remain nonrefundable because the resources needed to coordinate the harvest have already been committed.
If circumstances outside of CFR’s control prevent us from completing your harvest, we will do our best to work with you. When possible, we may apply your donation toward a harvest in the following season, depending on our capacity and scheduling.
We will always do our best to communicate promptly and work with you when unexpected circumstances affect your harvest.
